Shipping Restrictions

We do not currently offer international shipping.

Non-Residential Addresses

UPS Requirements

UPS requires a complete physical street address for delivery. P.O. boxes, college boxes, dorm rooms, and military units do not qualify.

Military Addresses (APO, FPO, DPO)

Orders sent to military addresses are shipped domestically, though transit time may exceed our delivery estimates.

Colleges

It is the responsibility of the customer to make sure they are following the specific instruction of their school and/or residence hall. These instructions vary by school; some student mailing addresses are extremely specific and require your attention in order to have your mail pieces delivered successfully. To determine your student mailing address, please visit your campus website. Note: the below examples may no longer be current.

Hotels

We do not ship to hotels.

Correctional Facilities

Although we do ship to correctional facilities, the customer is responsible for following and communicating to us any special regulations or instructions.

Before you send an order to a correctional facility:

  1. Contact the facility in advance to ensure that they will accept the package.
  2. Verify that Curio Cavern, Inc is on the facility's Approved Vendors List.
  3. Confirm with the facility any restrictions on the value of the package.
  4. Ask for any information about special regulations or instructions such as packing slips and item limitations. Note this information in your order.
  5. Verify that the address you provide is correct and includes the recipient’s identification number.


Curio Cavern, Inc is not responsible for packages delivered and not received by the addressee.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs for orders vary based on:

  • Number of items (larger orders cost more to ship)
  • Total weight (heavier orders cost more)
  • Total value (high-value orders require an insured shipping method) 
  • Delivery address
  • Shipping method (rates vary by carrier)

During checkout, you will see shipping options based on your order’s size, weight, value, and delivery address. 


Shipping Services

Orders are shipped Monday through Friday, with the exception of federal holidays.

Tracking

When your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email that contains a tracking number and link. You can also find the tracking link with the order in your account purchase history information.

Packing & Shipping Time

We typically ship by UPS and USPS. Shipping times are as is normally expected for those respective carriers; packaging time is 1-3 business days.

In-Person Order Pickup


When choosing a Shipping Method at checkout, select the in-store pickup option If the event does not appear in the drop-down menu, the event is not eligible as a pickup location for new orders.

To pick up a Curio Cavern, Inc website order on-site at Curio Cavern and save on shipping costs, select On-site Pickup (Curbside/In-Store - Curio Cavern - 6701T Loisdale Rd, Springfield, VA 22150) as your shipping option. Website orders may only be picked in-person up from this Curio location, during open hours. We ask that you pick up your order(s) within two weeks of placing them. If you are not able to, please contact us, or your order may be considered abandoned. Please also allow 1-3 business days for your order to be prepared in-store; we will contact you when it is available for in-store pickup.
